Princess Leia Hoth Vestby *thatbloodypirate

Since finishing the jumpsuit for this Princess Leia costume in time for CONvergence earlier, I've been busy working on the rest of the costume. I had a lot of fun making this vest. It's not perfect by any means, but I really like how it turned out. I found some great tutorials for Star Wars costumes through The Padawan's Guide, and would have been very much in the dark without them. The rank insignia- the badge on the vest's upper left I cast out of fiberglass resin.

All that's left to make at this point is the snowboots and the wrist communicator for the left sleeve.

Lovely vest! For some reason it turned out being one of the trickiest parts of my Hoth outfit!

I purchased the rank bar and communicator off a member of the RPF, let me know if you'd like their details.

Thank you! I think the jumpsuit was a bit more difficult for me, but the vest certainly gave me trouble as well. I'd love for the info where you got your communicator since I'm about to start my attempt on it and have no idea how well it will turn out.
